If you are visiting Galapagos, we recommend you to spend some days “in town” before or after your cruise. Important to know what options you have to move from one island to the other and which routes are available before you plan your trip, here are some details you should know:
Not all the islands are accessible by ferry, some of them can only be visited through a daily tour or cruise.
The ferries routes only cover San Cristobal, Santa Cruz and Isabela.
There isn’t a direct route between Isabela and San Cristobal, you will need to make a stop in Santa Cruz. This means taking the morning boat to Santa Cruz and the afternoon one to your final destination.
The average time per ride for the ferry is about 2 hours, but it can get longer depending of the sea conditions.
There are some additional costs in Santa Cruz and Isabela, due to the fact that you need to take a wáter taxi to reach the boat or the dock. This fee must be covered in cash while using the taxi, usually it is around 1 dollar.
It is important to be at least 30 minutes before your departure schedule because your luggage must go through an inspection conducted by the environmental authorities (ABG)to ensure that we are not transporting anything that could damage the environment.
Each passenger can carry a 23kg suitcase and a handbag. Make sure your luggage is securely locked.

The ticket or Voucher is only valid for the date and time specified on the ticket.
The person allowed to travel is the person named on the ticket.
In compliance with international SOLAS regulations, please note that you are required to supply the following information when you make your reservation: Name and Surname, Gender, Nationality, Date of birth, Passport number.
A ticket is not transferable.
All passengers are allowed to carry a suitcase up to 23 kg and a small backpack or handbag.
There are designated luggage areas on the boats.
All luggage passed the established weight will be billed separately. Excess baggage will be charged according to the rates established.
The company reserves the right to refuse any baggage that it considers dangerous or inappropriate.
The company will not be responsible for any loss of personal luggage, hand luggage will be the responsibility of each passenger.
The ticket or Voucher is only valid for the date and time specified on the ticket.
Passengers must arrive at the pier 30 minutes before departure time.
The passenger must comply with all official regulations as well as luggage check by the relevant environmental authorities (ABG).
Documents are only valid for the sailing dates/times indicated.
Clean your shoes and help prevent the entry of microorganisms, seees and insets that can become pests or diseases that affect human health and the biodiversity of the islands.
In case of delay or not show, the company is not responsible for the loss of your trip.
You must pay $1 for aquatic taxi to embark and disembark
All passengers are subject to the authority and good order established on board by the Captain of the vessel.
PAYMENT, MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATIONS.
We receive cancelations at least with 10 days before the date of the trip.
The ticket or voucher will be issued only upon receipt of the total payment. The company reserves the right to cancel any reservation if it has not received the respective payment.
